Alexander Poltorak Speaks on Patent Valuation at the IP Finance and Valuation Conference in New York

Suffern, NY - September 26, 2007 - Alexander Poltorak spoke on Patent Valuation at the IP Finance and Valuation Conference in New York last week. In his talk, Alex described a methodology he had developed for patent valuation, which includes:

* Valuing patent portfolios as monopolies;
* Valuing a patent in the portfolio;
* Risk adjusted patent valuation;
* Rules of thumb for patent value;
* Patent yield; and
* Decision tree analysis.

Alex Poltorak stated in his presentation that recent court decisions have considerably lowered the value of all patents. "If Congress passes the Patent Reform Act of 2007, it will further severely devalue patents," he concluded.
